Christmas Cards
You can buy our attractive Christmas Cards, at reasonable prices, and publicise our work as well as help raise money for neuroblastoma research. As all Society workers are volunteers, profit is maximised, raising £2500+ each year. Cards are available from October onwards. If you would like to have details (without commitment), or add your name to the mailing list, please ask:
Mrs. Shirley Clark
54 Forest Road
Richmond
TW9 3BZ
Telephone: 020 8948 2671
Email: membership@neuroblastoma.org.uk
The Society does not send unsolicited mail, or sell its mailing list to third parties, so there is no risk that you will receive literature you do not want.
Each autumn our latest range of Christmas cards and other stationery will be available and there will be an order form that you download. When this is available you will be able to click here to download a copy.
Company Support
Often companies set aside funds for charitable purposes, either to match money raised by employees, or to donate directly to charities nominated by employees. Putting the Society forward as a worthy beneficiary is always appreciated.
Collection Boxes
The Society can supply collecting boxes for display in pubs and shops. All that you need to do is agree to empty them every three months or so. These help to publicise the Society, as well as bringing in a useful £1,750+ a year. If you would like to have a collection box then please contact:
Mr. Laurie Bradshaw
Orchard House
Bulmer

Telephone: 01653 619766

London Marathon
Usually run in April of each year, the Society has a limited number of guaranteed places, so we welcome applications from runners for this event. Applications for these pleace should be made as soon as possible to:
Mrs. Anna Beecroft
Telephone: 020 8940 4353
Email: marathon@neuroblastoma.org.uk
Runners gaining a Society place in these events will need to pledge to raise a specified minimum of sponsorship, currently £2,000.
Monthly Draw Club
The Soecity runs a monthly draw club at a cost of £12 a year from May to the following April each year. For 10 months 25% of the monthly membership fee is awarded as prize money and 75% donated to Society funds. At Christmas and Easter 75% of the monthly membership fee is awarded in prizes with 25% going into Society funds. Overall £8 a year goes towards neuroblastoma research. For further information please contact:
Michelle Stephenson
9 Reservoir Road
Erdington
Birmingham

Other Races
The Society also has guaranteed places in some of the other popular running events each year, so it is worth enquiring if there is a place available in the event you want to enter. Even if we cannot offer a place you are still warmly invited to run in the Society's colours and be sponsored in aid of our work. If you are interested please contact:
Mrs. Anna Beecroft
Telephone: 020 8940 4353
Email: marathon@neuroblastoma.org.uk
All runners are provided with Gift Aid approved sponsor forms and a free Society T-shirt.
Payroll Giving
The Society is registered for payroll giving under Give as You Earn No. 2967. Individual employees donate a small percentage of earnings or a fixed amount each payday. This is deducted before tax so you benefit by effectively making a donation net of tax, whilst the charity receives the gross amount you give. Employers sometimes also make a donation.
Recycling Inkjet Cartridges & Mobile Phones
The Society is registered with www.recyclingappeal.com (account number: 710279) for the recycling of used inkjet and laser cartridges. The company will also buy used mobile phones. The company offers free collection for reasonable quantities, either by suppling freepost envelopes or arranging courier collection. Cartridges are sold on to UK companies for refurbishment and mobile phones refurbished for use in developing countries. The scheme is most successful if a collection point can be set up in your area where local people can deposit items for recycling. Further details are available on the company's website and collections can be arranged there.
Stamp Appeal
All used British greeting, high value definitive and commemorative stamps are welcome as well as, and in particular, foreign stamps of all descriptions as these command the highest prices from our dealers. Just save this otherwise useless waste paper, and help us turn it into money for research. It is not necessary to be a member to support the appeal. Anybody can help. Please send packages to:
